Supporting community led wellbeing development

Community Kitchen Garden

"Wellbeing - is about creating the conditions for thriving sustainably.  It’s quality of life and prosperity, positive physical and mental health, sustainable thriving communities.

Wellbeing is a measure of social progress and, arguably, the goal of individuals, good government and charitable activity.’"

We foster increased engagement and collaboration between with community innovators and entrepreneurs, commercial enterprise, and the public sector. Supporting the coming together and cooperation on the development of models to better facilitate co-design / production, and continuous improvement in sustainable wellbeing development systems and services, and measurable social, economic, and ecological progress in delivery.

We achieve this by

Networking - Connecting like-minded individuals and organisations with similar social and ecological ambitions to one another. Through our intelligence we reach and create bridges between unconnected spaces, places, and people.

Convening and co-design - A social economy cannot come to fruition by VCSE-activity alone. Citizens, local businesses, academia, public sector, and more all need to be involved in the weaving of social change and regenerative local economics. Our convening capability delivers new connections, increased peer-to-peer learning, new collaborations, and innovations with new ways to realise social value and benefits.

Brokering - The liaising power that aims to increase the public and private spending into local social economy capacity. This includes facilitating creation of new more effective / efficient and sustainable service structures e.g., carers cooperatives, food cooperatives, etc. and community wealth building opportunity.

Best practice blueprints – engaging aid to support community start-ups to accelerate progress to a sustainable and mature state of service capability through connection with libraries of common tools, business support services and blueprint delivery approaches / models, utilising best practice guidance / support built from experience of specialists from across the commercial, public and not for profit sectors.
